A higher median daily price (eur) can reflect limited local supply, seasonal demand, fewer competing suppliers or airport-specific costs. Possible drivers include availability, flight volume, tourism and local competition. Compare availability and booking demand before drawing firm conclusions.
What the number is. The median daily car rental price at the airport, in euro per rental day. It is a price level, not an index: there is no base value of 100, and a higher number means a more expensive market.
How it is measured. Every day RentalsGraph collects the prices that rental suppliers quote at each airport. Each quote is converted to a price per rental day (total price divided by the number of rental days), across all suppliers, vehicle classes and rental lengths observed that day. The day's median is kept only when at least 3 quotes exist, so a single quote can never set the level.
Period. The figure is the median of those daily values over the latest 30 days of collected data (27 Jul 2026 - 30 Jul 2026). An airport is ranked only when at least 3 days were measured; the days-measured column shows how many.
Geography. Airports located in geographical Europe (34°-72°N, 32°W-45°E) in European countries. Overseas territories of European states - such as French Polynesia, the Caribbean, French Guiana, Reunion, Mayotte, the Canary Islands and Madeira - are not included.
Comparability. Using the median per rental day removes the effect of rental length and of single extreme quotes. The mix of vehicle classes and suppliers is not weighted, so an airport where mainly larger cars are offered can read higher than one with mainly economy cars. Compare levels together with the number of observations, and use the full report for class-level detail.
